Florida State Head Coach Caught on Video Apparently Threatening to Bench His Star Player During Rose Bowl
January 01, 2015
The cameras caught it all...
Jimbo Fisher, the head football coach of Florida State University, was caught on video seemingly threatening to bench his star quarterback in the middle of the Rose Bowl on Thursday.
With his team trailing Oregon 45-20, Fisher is seen having a heated discussion with quarterback Jameis Winston on the sideline. When Winston talked back — and with some apparent attitude, it appeared that the coach told him, “If you don't calm the f*** down, you're going to the bench."
Watch the video below via ESPN:
The second-seeded Ducks (13-1) scored six straight times they touched the ball in the second half, with five of the touchdowns covering at least 21 yards and the last four coming after Florida State turnovers.
In a span of 12:54 on the game clock, the score went from 25-20 to 59-20, which ended up being the final score.
After the decisive victory, Oregon now heads to Texas to try to win their first national championship.
