Blaze poll: You're playing in the Super Bowl, and your first child is about to be born...Do you play or go?

"We've talked about it...I told him, play the game."

Would you miss the Super Bowl to witness the birth of your first child? Without hesitation, most people would answer, "Yes!"

However, if you are playing in the Super Bowl and happen to be a star player for one of the teams, that question becomes a more vexing one.

Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman's girlfriend, Ashley Moss, is expecting the couple's first child. And the baby's due date is Sunday, February 1.

Sherman told the media that he expects the baby to "do his father his first favor and stay in there another week or two."

What happens if Ashley goes into labor before the game? She told KING TV's Alex Rozier, "I'm not gonna let him know."

The very pregnant Moss added, "We've talked about it...I told him, play the game."
