Army Dad Couldn't Make Daughter's Kindergarten Graduation, So These Surprise Visitors Showed Up Instead

"They all look out for each other."

An Army dad serving in Afghanistan couldn't make his daughters Kindergarten graduation, so a special group of surprise visitors went to surprise her.

Members of the Mesa Police Department in Arizona surprised Sophia Prinkey on her May 13 graduation.

Her father, Shawn, is a motorcycle officer and 14-year-veteran of the department who simultaneously serves in the Army.

"The graduation ceremony event was put together by a fellow Mesa Police Department officer and friend of his, whose wife is also a teacher at the same school," Mesa Police Det. Esteban Flores told ABC News. "They worked together with the school and with Prinkey's motor squad to make it happen."

"There’s a lot of our officers in the military," Flores added. "And they all look out for each other."
