At 1:11 in This Video a Driver Seems to Point Something Out the Window That Brings Road Rage Battle to a Halt

Traffic along Texas Highway 75 near Dallas earlier this week was your typical rush hour — somewhat stop and go with people changing lanes in a bid to get around slower cars. But for two drivers rush hour turned into rush rage.

Someone with their dashcam running caught the moment when a sedan and a pickup truck in front of them both tried to merge into the left lane to bypass slower cars in the center. Neither car used their signal for the lane switch and neither ended up being willing to let the other in.

The silver truck would inch forward followed by the Nissan doing so as well. The truck driver rolled down his window, presumably to speak with the Nissan driver, but amends were not met.

The pair of drivers continued to duke it out, riding side-by-side for a few seconds down the road, the truck hovering over the lane line. And that's when some, including the YouTube user Nihilanth who posted the original video Wednesday, say the truck driver pulled out a gun.

After the alleged gun-pointing, it does appear that the Nissan speeds up — perhaps to get away — and then lets the truck driver speed in front of them instead.

Watch the footage closely and see if you can spot a gun being pointed around 1:11 in the video:

The Dallas Morning News reached out to the police department and were told that authorities had already seen the video. Without a report or complaint though, they aren't pursing it.

"There's no complainant, no victim," a police spokesperson told the newspaper. "If they called from a different location and made a report, we don't have that anywhere either."

The police department doesn't seem to question whether there was a gun pointed in the incident or not.
