Milwaukee Police Station Closes Temporarily After Caller Threatens to 'Blow Up' the Building
June 17, 2015
A Milwaukee police station was temporarily closed to the public Tuesday night after an anonymous caller threatened to "blow up" the building.
According to WISN-TV, a man called the department's technical communication division at the fifth district station around 9 p.m. Authorities began searching for explosives after the threat was made but didn't find anything suspicious. The building was reopened to the public once it was deemed safe.
Police were investigating the matter to determine the caller's identity.
The Milwaukee Police Department and the FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze.
