We thought we'd seen everything in Times Square. Then this guy appeared.

On Friday, we spotted something very strange happening in Times Square. It was a man in a full-body suit, pushing what appeared to be a system to pump him full of filtered air.

Despite his odd appearance and the loud gasoline engine on his cart, it seemed nobody found this to be strange.

The man in the suit headed us a card explaining what he was doing — sort of.  The device he was pushing and his suit were part of a "Mobile Personal Climatification Unit 200" or the M.P.C.U. 200.

A visit to the satisfixation.com website confirmed what we suspected after "interviewing" the man in the suit.

The M.P.C.U. 200 is part of Satisfixation's " ambulatory theatrical intervention" demonstration being exhibited on the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The site's mission statement continues, "The Mobile Personal Series contains three distinct works designed to highlight the (mis)communications between humans and mechanical technology."

Watch:

If you are in the NYC area and have to see this roving "exhibit" in person, the group has posted a schedule here.
