Be Careful What You Wish For: Little Boy Surprised With 'Rattlesnake' on Christmas Morning

"Get it away from me dad!"

One North Carolina boy got exactly what he asked for this Christmas, but his reaction makes it clear that it might not be exactly what he wanted.

Brooks Carroll, 5, learned the valuable lesson "Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it" Christmas morning when his parents tricked him into believing they bought him a rattlesnake.

Carroll's mom was recording when his dad brought out one last gift for their son. This particular gift was unique. As Carroll's dad carried it into the living room, the little boy could see the box shaking and hear hissing sounds coming from inside.

Be careful what you ask for Brooks! You just might get it!! Hahaha!!! Priceless!! I love a good prank.

In the background of the clip, you can hear Carroll's mom telling her son that she knew he told his friends at school that he wanted a rattlesnake for Christmas.

"You told everybody at school that you wanted a rattlesnake, right?" Carroll's mom asked. "Brooks, I think you got a rattlesnake for Christmas."

But judging from Carroll's reaction, he seemed less excited and more terrified at the "rattlesnake" inside.

"Throw it outside! No! I don't want to open that! Get it away from me dad!" Carroll yelled, trying his hardest to get away from the mysterious box.

Come to find out, the "rattlesnake" was nothing more than an empty box with a bluetooth speaker inside making all the noise. Though his parents thought it was funny, Carroll was less than amused by the gag gift.

"Y'all are mean," Carroll exclaimed with a scowl.

It's probably safe to say that 5-year-old little boy will be careful what he wishes for from now on.
