Here's What Happens if You Call the Veterans Hotline Donald Trump Set Up in 2015
February 16, 2016
TheBlaze decided to investigate.
Last summer, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump set up a hotline “for veterans to share their stories about the need to reform our Veterans Administration.”
“If he is elected president, he will take care of these and all veterans complaints very quickly and efficiently like a world-class business man can do, but a politician has no clue,” the Trump campaign said in a press release at the time.
But it appears that the hotline is no longer accepting calls.
On Tuesday, Tim Mak, a senior correspondent for The Daily Beast, tweeted:
So TheBlaze decided to investigate.
When we called the hotline, 855-VETS-352, an automated voice informed us that “we are working hard for our country’s veterans so please email us at veterans@donaldtrump.com.”
Twitter users offered their thoughts on the matter.
Did you call the hotline? Let us know how it went in the comment section below.
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign did not immediately return TheBlaze's request for comment, and an email sent to the aforementioned veterans' email address requesting information about their efforts was not immediately returned.
This post has been updated to include audio of the phone call.
