Super Tuesday Results — Who Won What

DALLAS, Texas — Super Tuesday's results have mostly shaken out, with businessman Donald Trump winning the majority of the night's Republican contests handily.

Sen. Ted Cruz took his home state of Texas, as well as Oklahoma and Alaska. Sen. Marco Rubio notched his first victory of the 2016 race, in the Minnesota caucuses.

But all the rest so far went to Trump: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Vermont and Virginia.

The delegates awarded on Super Tuesday were still being counted, but the Associated Press had Trump at 258, Cruz at 110 and Rubio at 70 at midnight Eastern.

To win the nomination, a Republican needs 1,237 delegates, and there were 1,996 still available.

Next, the GOP candidates will face off in a Thursday night debate in Detroit. Then they'll all speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington this week ahead of Saturday's primaries and caucuses in Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana and Maine.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders won his home state of Vermont, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Colorado's caucuses.

Those results put Clinton at 984 delegates and Sanders at 347 at midnight.
