Take One Guess Which Middle Eastern Country CNN Left Off Its Map During Coverage of Hijacked Egyptian Plane
March 29, 2016
"There's a piece of unnamed land in the Middle East."
CNN apparently neglected to label Israel on a map of the Middle East included in a report Tuesday, a blunder that quickly caught the attention of pro-Israel individuals.
A Twitter user named Alex Kay pointed out the mistake Tuesday:
"Apparently, Columbus could be useful, there's a piece of unnamed land in the Middle East," Kay's tweet read above a screen capture of the map with every Middle East country labeled — except Israel.
The map was part of CNN's coverage of the EgyptAir plane that was hijacked Tuesday. The map has since been updated.
