Pennsylvania Police Find 'Only Good Cop Is a Dead Cop' Sign — Check Out How They Respond
June 07, 2016
"I know whoever did this did it out of ignorance."
Law enforcement officers in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, are offering a challenge to the person who made an anti-police sign, which reads, "Only good cop is a dead cop."
The sign was discovered at 6 a.m. Monday, hanging along Lincoln Highway, Falls Township Police Lt. Henry Ward said. In response to the development, Ward challenged whoever posted the violent message to stop by the police department and speak with the officers, WPVI-TV reported.

"I know whoever did this did it out of ignorance," he said. "I would like to sit down with them and show them what we do as police officers so they can base their opinion on facts and not ignorance."
However, he doesn't expect the perpetrators to take him up on the offer "because they hung the sign in the middle of the night like a true coward that I think they are." But Ward is hoping to be proven wrong, saying the two groups might be able to learn something from each other.
"I want to stress this is America and anyone is well within their rights to hold such an opinion," he added, "but I find it ironic that whoever did this did it on the anniversary of D-Day, when thousands of young Americans died to make sure an idiot or idiots like this can express their opinions."
