During a speech at the 17th annual Netroots Nation conference, the largest annual gathering of progressives, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) had a few choice words for President Donald Trump over his proposed border wall.
"We are going to say to every Dreamer this country, 'You are an American. This country is your home and we have your back.' That's what we're going to say," Warren told the audience.
"And by the way, Mr. President, we're never ever going to build your stupid wall," she said as cheering ensued.
President Trump's proposed border wall along the United States-Mexican border is one of his most talked about campaign promises.
Over the last week, members of Congress have proposed numerous bills which would designate funding for the wall, Fox News reported.
On Aug. 3, Texas Sen. John Cornyn introduced legislation that would provide $15 million over four years for a border wall and the hiring of new Border Patrol agents.
