Little girl asks store Santa to heal cousin of leukemia. Watch as he prays to the true gift Giver.
December 22, 2017
A little girl named Taylor walked up to a store Santa in the Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on Wednesday with just one Christmas present wish.
To please heal her cousin Ashley of leukemia.
Taylor's father, Steve Dane, shared on Facebook that his daughter's request got him sufficiently choked up, realizing Taylor was appealing "to the one she believes can do anything."
But Dane added that this store Santa "did something that was more amazing than what my daughter did."
With Taylor on his lap, St. Nick held her hand and prayed out loud to God — the "Great Physician" — for Ashley's healing, ending it in Jesus' name.
"He has a hundred kids in line, and I’m sure he has had kids all day begging for the toys they want him to bring," Dane wrote. "This man stops all the commotion and tells her he, even as Santa, does not have the power to heal but knows someone who can."
Dane acknowledged that he's "a big tough guy but there I stood in my favorite store Bass Pro Shops crying like a baby. Thank you Santa for showing my family and everyone there what Christmas is really about."
