Nancy Pelosi admonishes Maxine Waters for urging harassment of Trump administration officials

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) admonished Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) for urging her supporters to harass members of President Donald Trump's administration over the weekend.

Pelosi posted her disapproval on Twitter with a link to a story about Waters' comments, which were made on Saturday during a toy drive in Los Angeles.

"In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again. Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea," Pelosi tweeted.

Incidentally, Waters' call came while many liberals were celebrating the owner of Red Hen restaurant, who on Friday evening asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to leave the restaurant's premises.

What did Waters say to her supporters?

Walters shared her remarks at a toy drive in front of the Wilshire Federal Building.

“History will record while he tried to step on all of us, we kicked him in his rear and step on him,” Waters screamed. “If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”

“Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants … who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!” Waters continued, referring to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s run-ins with protesters.

She told supporters to "stay the course" because "God is on our side."

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters continued.

“Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this!” she yelled.

What else?

David Axelrod, a political analyst and former senior adviser to then-President Brack Obama, jumped in on Twitter to rebuke Waters for advocating such behavior.

"Couldn’t disagree more with @MaxineWaters. Disgusted with this admin’s policies? Organize, donate, volunteer, VOTE! Rousting Cabinet members from restaurants is an empty and, ultimately, counter-productive gesture that won’t change a thing," Axelrod tweeted.

President Donald Trump blasted back at Waters on Twitter with a warning to be careful what she wishes for.

"Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!," Trump wrote.
