James Woods says his liberal agent dropped him on the Fourth of July - over patriotism

Actor James Woods posted an exchange between him and his agent who notified the open conservative that he was no longer representing him, citing his "patriotic" mood.

Here's what happened

Woods wrote, "So this email from my agent (a political liberal) today...," on the Fourth of July, and posted an image of an email apparently from his agent.

The email read, "It's the 4th of July and I'm feeling patriotic," the email read, "I don't want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I'd say."

In a follow up tweet, Woods posted his response. "Dear Ken, I don’t actually," Woods said he responded. "I was thinking if you’re feeling patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one’s right to think as an individual."

"Be that as it may, I want to thank you for all your hard work and devotion on my behalf," he added. "Be well.”

While the exchange was rather cordial, his agent, Ken Kaplan, appeared to refer to a great divide between their political opinions. Woods has been a very outspoken right-wing conservative on social media and has been unabashed in his support for President Donald Trump.

The actor beat a $3 million defamation lawsuit in January over a tweet where he asked if a Bernie Sanders supporter was the same person caught in a photo appearing to give a Nazi hand salute. He was saved by the question mark in his tweet.

Woods also quit Twitter in November 2016 over left-wing censorship  but he later returned to the addictive social media site.

Here's the Fox News video on the story:
