Authorities discovered the remains of two dead newborn babies Wednesday at a New Jersey recycling facility, ABC News reported.
Authorities arrived at the Colgate Paper Stock company in New Brunswick, New Jersey, after a call on the grisly discovery of a baby's body.
Several hours later, authorities discovered a second baby's body.
Forensic officials are working to determine if the two babies are related and how they died. They also are attempting to determine the ages of the children.
Law enforcement officials are working closely with investigators to determine how they came to rest at the recycling facility. The Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner's Office is set to perform an autopsy on the babies.
According to ABC News' Candace McCowan, who reported on the finding, the company takes in up to 1,000 recyclable materials on a daily basis.
NJ.com asks that any persons with information on the findings contact police Detective Raymond Quick at (732) 745-5200, or prosecutor's Detective Sean Sullivan at (732) 745-4060.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing at the time of this writing, according to WNBC-TV.
