The Hartford Courant reported that emergency crews responded to the scene at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois, after video of the incident was shared on social media.
In footage taken by a witness and posted on Twitter by BNO News, a black vehicle can be seen careening through displays, stopping and reversing erratically, and appearing to ram into a storefront as shocked onlookers ran both toward and away from the scene.

The Daily Wire reported that authorities initially called for a "mass casualty response," and Fox News reported that two injuries at the scene have been reported so far. According to Schaumburg Police, one suspect has been taken into custody, and "there is no evidence of an active shooter situation."
