Lindsey Graham explains how Mueller's testimony will 'blow up' in Democrats' faces

Ouch

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) explained on Fox News Tuesday that Democrats' decision to subpoena Robert Mueller to testify before Congress will "blow up in their face."

Graham told Fox News host Sean Hannity "the bottom line" is that after President Donald Trump's team gave Mueller more than one million documents and provided countless hours of testimony from dozens of witnesses, the facts proved Trump's campaign did not collude with Russia.

"It is case closed for me," Graham said. "They can do anything they want to in the House, and I think it'll blow up in their face."

"It will blow up in their face. This will blow up in their face. The conclusions can't change, there is no collusion, that's what the whole damn thing was about to begin with," he explained.

Regarding obstruction of justice, an allegation of which Mueller did not explicitly clear Trump, Graham said "no one on Earth" could orchestrate a legal case against the president.

"He made everybody available to Mueller that Mueller wanted to talk to and he answered questions in writing, so this president did nothing to stop Mueller from finding the truth," Graham claimed.

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) announced Tuesday that Mueller will testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees in a joint hearing next month. Both committees had subpoenaed Mueller.

The development is significant because it will allow lawmakers to grill Mueller about the specifics of his investigation.

However, it is unlikely Mueller will provide new details about his conclusion, which he detailed at length in an investigative summary that was nearly 500 pages long.
