At the end of a segment about U.S. Women's Soccer player Megan Rapinoe, an MSNBC panel gushed and lavished praise over her politically partisan insults and statements against President Donald Trump.
"She's just a born leader!" said host Nicole Wallace. "There are people who just have IT, and she has IT!"
"I was watching that rally, you could see her with a political future," responded Jonathan Swan of Axios.
"Could see her at the Democratic convention!" Wallace exclaimed.
"Keynote speaker!" gushed former Clinton campaign aide Jennifer Palmieri.
"She's also willing, she doesn't have that flinchy thing when asked if she'll get involved in political causes, will you go to Washington, I saw her on one of the shows last night," Wallace continued. "Yeah, absolutely I'll go to Washington."
"MAGA world really doesn't want to pick a fight with this woman," said Charlie Sykes.
"When she called the shot, people are going, 'you know you shouldn't be talking about not going to the White House before you win it all.' Well she put that pressure on herself, and then she delivers," he added.
"She just stands there, and she just strokes the ball in, and that's something, I mean, it's, she's a remarkable woman," Sykes continued.
"And she's probably the coolest woman in America right now," Sykes, noted arbiter of coolness, concluded.
"Megan Rapinoe, you make us believe!" said Wallace. "God bless you, and all your teammates, congratulations!"
Rapinoe is best known for kneeling during the national anthem to join Colin Kaepernick's protest. When asked if she would appear as a guest at the White House if invited by Trump, she answered with an expletive. In the celebratory rally after their victory, she used another expletive, screaming, "New York City, you're all the motherf**king best!" at the audience.
She also was a key player in the U.S. Women's soccer team victory in the Gold Cup.
