Super Tuesday results: Haley wins Vermont Republican presidential primary, but Trump racks up wins

Former President Donald Trump won the Republican presidential primary in California as well as the GOP nominating contests in Minnesota, Colorado, Arkansas, Texas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Maine, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia on Super Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley won in Vermont's Republican presidential primary. "There is no party registration in Vermont," according to sos.vermont.gov. "All registered voters can vote in the primary election—but can only vote on one ballot."

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley won the GOP presidential primary in Vermont, according to the Associated Press. The victory marks only her second win so far during the 2024 Republican presidential nominating contest. Her first win occurred recently when she won the Washington, D.C., Republican presidential primary.

But while Haley prevailed in Vermont, former President Donald Trump racked up wins on Super Tuesday, winning the Republican presidential nominating contests in Minnesota, Colorado, Arkansas, Texas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Maine, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, according to the AP.

Former President Donald Trump has won the Virginia Republican presidential primary, according to the Associated Press.

Republican presidential nominating contests in more than a dozen states on Super Tuesday will help determine whether Trump, the clear frontrunner, becomes the 2024 GOP presidential nominee.

The 15 states voting in the Republican nominating contest on Super Tuesday include, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.

Prior to Super Tuesday, Trump had been dominating the GOP presidential nominating contest, while former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley had been performing dismally, only winning in the District of Columbia Republican presidential primary.
