Surveillance video captured the moments when about seven men attacked a northern New Jersey garage owner and his employees earlier this month. Some of them even took turns using a machete in their assault.

What are the details?

Edwin Izaguirre, owner of Fleet Truck Service in Paterson, said the May 13 attack stemmed from a dispute over street parking in front of his business, WNYW-TV reported.

Thing is, Councilman Luis Velez told the station the street space adjacent to the sidewalk on Mill Street is "public parking."

"People can’t take the law into their hands," Velez added to WNYW. "Call the police department, they will address it accordingly."

Izaguirre has been operating his business for more than a decade, the station said.

"I was surprised because I don't have problems with anyone," he told WNYW. "I am here to make a living."

One of Izaguirre's employees was bruised on his arm and back:

Izaguirre himself needed a few stitches on his forearm:

The group also appeared to use a bat or club in the attack:

Paterson police were allegedly told of the attack, the station said, adding that no arrests had been made — despite the victims saying the attackers are familiar neighborhood faces.
