Here are the latest progressives to be caught in their own politically correct web

On April 6, President Donald Trump authorized an airstrike on a Syrian airbase, wiping out 20 percent of their air force. As with all other networks, this was a breaking story at MSNBC. Unlike other networks, however, if you don't do things according to the politically correct MSNBC method, you'll find yourself in hot water.

According to a Page Six report, someone at the network became offended that Brian Williams broke into Rachel Maddow's 9 p.m. time slot to report the story. Today on "Pure Opelka," Mike Opelka explored the sexism controversy within MSNBC's ranks.

Sources inside the network say chief Phil Griffin took the anchor to task for doing the job for which he was hired. Williams reported on the air strike with Maddow at his side the entire time while she offered commentary and insight.

He also continued to follow the story for a few hours after her show, taking over other hosts' time slots as well. So far, no one at the network seems offended on behalf of Lawrence O'Donnell or Chris Hayes.

Another unnamed source claimed Williams was patronizing when he thanked Maddow for being part of the breaking coverage. Maddow herself was apparently unfazed.

To see more from Mike, visit his channel on TheBlaze and listen live to “Pure Opelka” weekdays 12-3 p.m. ET, 7–10 p.m. ET & Saturdays 6–9 a.m. ET, only on TheBlaze Radio Network.
