"It's funny to hear a female talk about ... routes," said Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers to a female sports reporter after she asked him if he enjoyed the physicality of routes and extra yardage on the football field.
The internet erupted in anger and accused Newton of patronizing the Charlotte Observer reporter. Jourdan Rodrigue took to Twitter to react to the player's bizarre remark.
Apparently, it was offensive enough because Dannon yogurt pulled Newton's sponsorship for his "sexist" and "disparaging" comments.
