Listen: Here’s why this conservative wanted to create his own Christmas cards

A man who wanted to show both his faith and his patriotism during the holidays decided to launch his own Christmas card to send to friends and family.

Richard Lynn Stack looked for conservative-minded Christmas cards one year and couldn’t find any that he would describe as “reverent” and fitting the reason for the season. So he started his own company, TeaState, which offers a card inscribed with “we hold this truth to be self-evident.”

On today’s show, Stack shared the story of creating the card and why he hopes TeaState can fill a unique niche in the Christmas card market.

"I was looking for just the right Christmas card to make a statement to reaffirm my beliefs," Stack said. "I couldn't find what I was looking for."
