CNN's Ana Navarro FLIPS OUT when confronted with simple facts about gun violence

'That’s moral bullying'

During a conversation with Ana Navarro and co-hosts of "CNN Tonight" about the tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Jonah Goldberg attempted to put America’s problem with mass shootings into "perspective" by citing accurate statistics on gun violence. This did not go over well.

Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the Dispatch, said that while he shares the "moral outrage" many feel over "how horrific and just morally repugnant these slaughters are," it's wrong to tell parents they should be "paralyzed with fear about their own kids."

“If we’re going to start telling people that they should be scared that this is going to happen to them, we should at least put this in perspective," he said.

Noting that there are roughly 54 million children in school in America, and 170 have been killed in school shootings in the last 29 years, Goldberg went on to argue, "if we’re going to tell people they should be terrified about their kids being dropped off at school, we should remind them their kids are more in danger on the drive to school, statistically, than they are at the school."

At this, Navarro responded, "A child’s life should not be a statistic!"

"That’s moral bullying," Goldberg argued. "I’m making a basic point to say that you shouldn’t tell people that they should be terrified."

Moral bullying or not, Navarro was on a roll.

"It's been 10 years since Sandy Hook and that we haven't done anything is a national shame," she ranted. "So paralyzed with fear, and paralyzed with acceptance and resignation is what we've been for the last 10 years. And it's enough of that. No more paralysis. Get your asses in gear and call your senator.”

"That's fine. I'm doing analysis, I am not doing activism," Goldberg replied.

On “The Rubin Report” Wednesday, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin shared a video clip of the heated exchange and talked about why liberal gun control advocates like Navarro need to keep people in the dark about the facts.
