Costco customer demands to return a Christmas tree. The store’s response was surprising.

What happened?

A woman in Santa Clarita, California reportedly returned her Christmas tree to a Costco store on Jan. 4 “because it is dead.”

Doc and Kal talked about this hilarious story on today’s show as part of the weekly “Friday leftovers” segment.

How did Costco react?

Costco must have the world’s best return policy – the store accepted the dead Christmas tree and gave the customer a refund.

What else should I know?

The story came from Facebook user Scott Bentley, who posted a photo of the woman with her face obscured by a red “X” with the dead Christmas tree by the Costco counter.

"If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe that someone had so little morel [sic] values or lack of conscience,” he wrote.
