Glenn: Here's why the terrorist bomber chose Manchester arena

On Tuesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Glenn Beck warned that terrorists are purposely increasing chaos in the world.

A terrorist attack from a suicide bomber who detonated outside an arena in Manchester, England, left at least 22 people dead and dozens more wounded on Monday night. The explosion happened as around 21,000 people were leaving the arena following an Ariana Grande concert. The attacker died in the blast, and the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Some of those killed were children; victim Saffie Rose Roussos, 8, came to the concert with her mother and her sister.

Glenn compared the horrifying attack to the Beslan massacre in 2004, when a group of armed Islamic Groups descended on a school in Beslan, Russia, taking more than 1,100 people hostage. Most of the hostages were children, and close to 400 people died in the siege.

Radical Islamist terrorists are pursuing chaos, and they purposely attacked children and teenagers at the concert arena because they knew those deaths would affect people even more, Glenn asserted.

“They know that … the killing of children will horrify us,” Glenn said. “[The Manchester bombing] wasn’t just a random hit; this was a hit on children.”
