Sin City will become the first city in the United States to install drug needle vending machines in order to help prevent the spread of disease. Las Vegas will place three vending machines at outreach centers across the city next month in order to stem the spread of HIV and hepatitis C.
Each package in the vending machine will consist of alcohol wipes, a clean syringe, disposal unit, and even condoms. The items are free, provided the user registers their name and other information in order to keep track of how many kits are used.
