A Kickstarter campaign launched by Fctry has surpassed its $15,000 goal to create a "Notorious RBG" action figure.
According to a report by The Hill, Fctry is a Brooklyn-based product incubator that initially hoped to raise $15,000 for the Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg action figure but raised well over $613,700 on Kickstarter.
Zoe Cronin, the company's marketing coordinator, said the company was "shocked" by the influx of monetary support. The company reportedly reached their goal within less than an hour of the campaign going live.
On Tuesday's episode of "Pat Gray Unleashed," Pat and Keith were relatively amused by the action figure.
"Just in time for Christmas gift-giving," Pat said sarcastically. "They're coming out in October. You can have this in your home."
Pat talked about how on-demand RBG is right now in progressive circles. A new movie titled, "On the Basis of Sex," depicts a young RBG who heroically (in the eyes of progressives) dedicates her life early on to fighting gender discrimination.
Pat and Keith don't quite understand the hype.
