Horowitz: Forget the cartels, Biden is flying illegal aliens directly into US airports

How does one force an administration that wants to bring the world’s criminals to our shores to actually secure our border?

Maybe that’s the wrong question. It isn’t about a secure border, really. It’s not about money, infrastructure, or a wall, either. The reason virtually the entire Third World seems to be thronging the southern U.S. border is that the Biden administration has invited it.

That means the question is no longer about “border security,” but a matter of the federal government subverting the sovereignty of its own people.

Nothing demonstrates this more vividly than new data showing that Biden is quietly flying in hundreds of thousands of people to the interior of the country, bypassing border checkpoints entirely.

Yet even as the border invasion worsens, the numbers are not high enough for an administration that clearly seeks to replace its own people. The administration wants more.

New data obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies (stemming from a legal fight with the Department of Homeland Security over a Freedom of Information Act request) shows that the Biden administration has flown 200,000 illegal aliens into our airports between October 2022 and September of this year.

The DHS is encouraging new arrivals to apply for parole through the CBP One app, which is why we are seeing record numbers at the land ports of entry. Not as widely reported, however, the app is also being used to fly illegal aliens directly into the interior.

Todd Bensman, a Texas-based senior national security fellow for CIS, reported this week that illegal aliens may apply for parole through the app. They’re then granted permission to fly anywhere within the United States. Upon arrival, an alien shows the app to a customs officer, who paroles him sight unseen. It’s essentially an extra-legal, ad hoc visa program. Beneficiaries include arrivals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Venezuela.

Based on the data presented to CIS, 221,456 illegal immigrants were granted permission to jump on the air-based conveyor belt rather than the land-based route over the past 10 months.

Unlike the land-border encounters, these numbers have been hidden and are not included in the monthly border numbers, which only have been published recently. We have no information about the points of destination and which airports are being used for this conveyor belt. That means that thousands of unvetted people from volatile parts of the world can determine where they want to land, and local officials are completely in the dark about the nature or even existence of these people.

How many of these tattooed-up military-age men from Venezuela and elsewhere were strategically released from prison by Nicolas Maduro to subvert America?

What this revelation demonstrates is that we are no longer facing a “border crisis” or a logistical problem of “illegal immigration.” This is an engineered invasion larger in number and scope of origin than at any point in human history, and for the first time ever, it is being orchestrated by our own government.

The Biden administration’s position is that in order to “combat illegal immigration,” it will simply make all 8 billion people on earth would-be legal immigrants. This theft of sovereignty without congressional approval — as if such a thing were possible — the administration sanitizes as “legal pathways.” Now officials have violated the terms of “temporary protected status” and have granted more than 472,000 Venezuelans indefinite parole not authorized by law.

Under the circumstances, Republicans would do well to stop focusing exclusively on border funding, the Border Patrol, the wall, or even the cartels. This is not a “natural disaster” that requires a beefed-up force and special resources. Nor is it primarily an external threat orchestrated by the cartels, although they obviously stand to benefit.

No, this is a premeditated and methodically crafted plan to destabilize our people, our culture, our economy, and our cohesion by our own federal government.

As such, the only way to combat the crisis is with state-based interior enforcement.

Let’s not forget the border issue was always more about the states than the “international border” itself. Very few of the invaders remain near the border even within the border states. They wreak havoc on communities, and even ultra-liberal blue city officials, such as New York City Mayor Eric Adams, are now making that abundantly clear.

We already have mass autonomous illegal alien communities, such as Colony Ridge east of Houston, populated with tens of thousands of illegal aliens, including cartel operatives. Earlier this year, a Honduran national from Colony Ridge was charged with murdering five people.

Todd Bensman, the first to report on Colony Ridge, chronicled the culture of violence in the community, which was once a part of Norman Rockwell’s rural America but is now a place where firearms are discharged at all hours of the night. Possibly 35,000 people live in Colony Ridge, a land mass 50% larger than Manhattan, in a county where the official population is under 100,000.

How many more Colony Ridges do we already have throughout the United States? And how many more will pop up with thousands — or hundreds of thousands — more people in just a few years?

We are now averaging 10,000 illegal aliens a day entering the United States, not to mention the “gotaways.” That is an annualized pace of more than 3 million people, with another million or so “gotaways.”

Just over the past three weeks, more than 100,000 of these predominantly male possible belligerents have been released by the Border Patrol into the interior of the United States. We simply cannot wait until January 20, 2025, to address the crisis. Red states are the only way to stem the tide now.

America’s founders in the center of the Declaration of Independence accused King George III of inciting Indian belligerents on the country’s nascent frontier. Well, consider that today, the federal government — our new King George — is inviting a foreign population larger than the size of all the colonies combined in 1776 in just one year.

Would those original states ever have formed a national government thinking they’d be powerless to protect themselves from that sort of treachery from the body charged with guarding the social compact?
