Whoopi and 'The View' co-hosts spew outrage over Bill Maher's jokes about left's 'masked, paranoid world' of COVID restrictions: 'How dare you!'

Whoopi Goldberg is the very serious lead host of female gab-fest "The View."

Bill Maher tells jokes — jokes that annoy Whoopi and the other women on her show.

Goldberg just got over a bout with COVID-19 — despite having been triple-vaxxed and keeping herself home-bound so as to avoid the coronavirus gribblies — and is still very scared of the disease and very determined to make sure everyone else is scared, too.

Bill Maher, who has his own show on HBO, is over it — all of it. He's tired of the protocols, the vaccines and boosters, liberals pushing ideas that have "nothing to do with science," disinformation from the pro-lockdown crowd, and, well, you name it.

So he rails against our pandemic-crazed society and pokes fun at it all.

Something "The View" gang just cannot abide.

On Friday night, Maher went off on the "masked paranoid world" that forces people to wear masks, show vaccine passports, get boosters, and still get their foreheads scanned for temperature checks, calling those folks "bananas."

Team Whoopi wasn't having it.

In a segment blasting folks for speaking out against COVID paranoia, "The View" ladies ripped Maher for daring to use his platform to call for a return to normal.

After playing a short clip from Maher's opening Friday monologue, Whoopi was in prime lecture mode.

Whoopi ridiculously pops off against Bill Maher for anti-mask jokes, tell him to say out of society. Sara Haines joins in by saying masks will be a permanent "new normal" like airport security after 9/11. "That's not really funny to people who've lost their kids ... or people who have lost family members or dear friends to this," she harangued. "Listen, nobody on the planet really wants to go through this."

"This is not something we're doing because it's sexually gratifying," she continued. "We're doing it to protect our families, and you don't have to do it, but stay away from everybody."

Whoopi then claimed that Maher is someone forgetting that there are people "at risk" who can't get vaccinated, like ... "little kids under the age of 5."

"How dare you be so flippant, man!" she chided.

Co-host Sara Haines chimed in with her wisdom that mask wearing is some sort of permanent "new normal," adding that she really might "never ... feel comfortable without a mask."

No word on from "The View" team on when or where they will ever draw the line on COVID protocols.

Here's Maher's full opening monologue from Friday.
