Rep. Jim Jordan to Mark Levin: Congress needs to do what it was elected to do — just like President Trump!
July 27, 2018
Friday on LevinTV host Mark Levin's radio show, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, made the case that he should be the next speaker of the House, arguing that Congress needs to catch up to the many accomplishments of President Trump.
Jordan vented the frustration felt by many of his colleagues in the Republican caucus: Congress is not keeping the promises made to the American people.
Jordan explained to Levin that much of this failure has to do with a broken process where members have no voice in decision-making and where leadership lacks the will to fight.
"We forfeit even before we have a debate!" he exclaimed.
"I always say this," he added. "We make this job way way too complicated. It's pretty darn simple. What did you tell [the American people] when you ran for office? And what did you tell them you were going to do? You got elected. You formed a contract with your voters. Go do that."
