Eliana Benador: The War Against the Non-Islamic State

Yet another anniversary of the massacres of Sept. 11, 2001, and it is obvious that the Islamic State is now presenting the world with the worst case of terrorism ever.

Thirteen years have passed since the horrific attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and it is obvious that the situation has worsened beyond our worst nightmares.

Terrorism casualties of September 11 were not only over 3,000 civilian massacred in time of peace, but also the many thousands wounded and scarred for life and the shattered economy that has shaken the country.

The man who initially mesmerized Americans with his ability to convey his message and convince them, had a hard time yesterday appearing natural as he was reading his teleprompter.

President Barack Obama presented his plan to “degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group known as ISIL.”

And to do so, he began with his achievements:

“Over the last several years, we have consistently taken the fight to terrorists who threaten our country. We took out Osama bin Laden and much of Al Qaeda’s leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We’ve targeted Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen, and recently eliminated the top commander of its affiliate in Somalia."

The country should always remember how Osama bin Laden’s death was heavily paid for when two months later, a Taliban strike eliminated 30 elite operatives from the same Seal Team Six that killed the mastermind of September 11.

One of the victims was Michael Strange, a specialist Navy cryptologist and decoder, whose job was to intercept communications. Michael's father, Charlie Strong says: “Somebody was leaking to the Taliban.”

That happened on the night the commander in chief announced to the world the capture and assassination of bin Laden, on May 1, 2011. Obama "inadvertently" revealed the existence of the elite Seal Team Six, which had been completely guarded from public knowledge until then.

Military casualties must also be listed as the victims of Islamic terrorism. The thousands of military casualties are not measured by the sheer numbers of deaths among the troops, but those estimates must also include the families, the trauma caused to their children, the missing bread-winner and the missing father- or mother-figure forever torn from their young lives, or the missing sons, daughters.

In the same way that he ordered the whitewashing of “Islam” and “Muslim terrorism” or “terrorism” from officialdom, on the eve of the 13th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, the American president has looked straight in the virtual eyes of his compatriots and officially declared that, “ISIL is not 'Islamic.'”

Indeed, it appeared that “The Council on American-Islamic Relations wanted Obama in his speech on ISIS Wednesday night to reject the jihadists’ 'misappropriation of Islamic terms and concepts,' and to recognize that the terrorist group was created by 'the lack of freedom and justice in the region.'”

In Obama’s defense, history proves that two of his predecessors were on the same page with him: President Bill Clinton called the Taliban treatment of women and children "a terrible perversion of Islam."

President George W. Bush visited a mosque in Washington, D.C. a few days after the September 11 attack. There he spoke of Islam as a peaceful religion... noting that “...[t]hese acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith, and it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that.”

The president's behavior clearly and constantly shows his allegiance to the cause of a globalizing Islam.

Islamic State has been classified a foreign terrorist organization by the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, and has been described by the United Nations and Western and Middle Eastern media as a terrorist group. Yet the president still calls it the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

The probable reason why Obama is avoiding calling it Islamic State is very likely to delay the psychological impact that the caliphate could have when the masses will realize the very real association to the sub-human Islamists. This could potentially cause panic and generalized chaos worldwide.

For his part, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who was saved by the moral, political and military support of his ally, Russian President Vladimir Putin, may now be in dire trouble as Obama intends to bomb part of Syria.

What will stop the American commander in chief from bombing the Syrian presidential palace and, finally, get his wish to hand the president (remember Gaddafi?) and the power to those he calls “moderate” terrorists from the Al Qaeda’s Syrian wing, the Nusra Front? By the way, do we need to remind anybody that these so-called “moderate” terrorists are now sharing the same side as the Islamic State?

As I write these lines, breaking news announces that Russia is warning Obama of any strikes in Syria against the Islamic State. Obviously Putin knows what Obama is about.

Obama has said the American troops will not participate in active combat, but in the past there have been several attacks by “locals” on military bases that harbored American troops, for instance in Afghanistan. Who will stop that from happening again?

On the financial aspect, which the president did not even mention, Americans should remember that military involvements are expensive and that their burden will continue accumulating on top of the almost $18 trillion national debt. Who is going to pay for this new “mission”?

And, yet again, the sad reminder that this will be no conventional war but an asymmetrical one. American military will be under the self-defeating, suicidal rules of “courageous restraint” that puts more lives at risk.

Surrounded by a silent, passive zombie-like world, the Islamic State have been ruthlessly slaughtering masses of people, Christians, Yazidis, Westerners, and even Muslims. They have raped and mutilated women. They have abused little children and are teaching them to play with human heads, all at the cry of “Allah hu Akbar” while they have lined up and shot hundreds of them in the back.

When the president says that: “This is American leadership at its best: we stand with people who fight for their own freedom; and we rally other nations on behalf of our common security and common humanity.”

It is a “global” president who is speaking, advancing the globalist agenda pertaining to the international order.

Is there any danger that the Islamic State be active on American soil any time soon? The president did not even bring up the topic.

Where is America really in all of this? At the sacrificial altar.
