Jailed and tortured in Iran for speaking out against its oppressive government, constitutional law professor and senate chairman of the National Iranian Congress, Amir Abbas Fakhravar, is fed up with the anti-American attitude of Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). He sat down with Eric Bolling on Wednesday's episode of "America with Eric Bolling" to explain why he thinks America is "the best country on the planet."
"It's a shame to see someone like Ilhan Omar right now ... who came to the United States to save her life," Amir said. "If you are here, have respect for these people who have been the nicest hosts on the planet for you. And right now you are sitting there at United States Congress to teach them how to govern? No. This is the best country on the planet. They should learn from this country. This country should be the role model for all the countries on the planet."
Bolling asked Amir what would have happened if he'd spoken about Iran's ayatollah in the way that Omar and Tlaib speak about President Donald Trump.
"I couldn't be here because I couldn't be alive," answered Amir. "I said, 'Probably we don't have as much freedom as the supreme leader claims.' Because of that, they sent me for eight years to jail with a lot of torture. And they broke both my wrists ... and a lot of bones in my body have been broken. My family ... didn't know if I was alive or not. We suffered a lot under the same type of regime that Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib want to bring to the United States."
