DEEP STATE? Evidence emerges showing DEMOCRATS have been pushing Ukraine to meddle with US elections since at least 2016 — and still are

Democratic politicians and mainstream media are doing their best to convince Americans that the recently declassified whistle-blower report "removed all doubt" that President Donald Trump pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden in an effort to "solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. election."

In other words, they are accusing President Trump of colluding with a foreign leader to interfere with an election. Sound familiar?

On Thursday's radio program, Glenn Beck argued that President Trump was actually looking for evidence of collusion between Democrats and Ukrainian officials during the Obama administration who sought to dig up dirt on then-candidate Trump and prompt the Russia investigation before the 2016 election.

Reports have emerged that show officials within the Democratic National Committee met with Ukraine's political leadership during the 2016 election "for the express purpose" of helping "Clinton's allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers."

In an article for "The Hill," award-winning investigative reporter John Solomon wrote, "Democrats repeatedly have exerted pressure on Ukraine, a key U.S. ally for buffering Russia, to meddle in U.S. politics and elections" since at least as early as 2016. In January of that year, "the Obama administration invited Ukraine's top prosecutors to Washington, under the pretext of 'training,' then pressed them to drop an investigation into corruption at Burisma Holdings, the company that employed Joe Biden's son, Hunter."

This, of course, is the very investigation at the center of the Trump-Ukraine whistle-blower report. President Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the investigation had been unfairly "shut down," and asked Zelensky if he could "look into it." Solomon's report also notes Connecticut Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy's carefully worded message to the President Zelensky during a bipartisan meeting in Kiev earlier this month, in which Murphy made it clear that U.S. aid to Ukraine could be jeopardized if Ukraine leadership complies with President Trump's requests regarding the Burisma Holdings investigation.

"[T]he government at the highest levels [were] in collusion with our U.S. ambassador, appointed by Obama ... they were all working together," Glenn said. "The DNC had come over and said, 'Hey, we need some dirt on Donald Trump,' and the Ukrainian government, working through oligarchs, went to Russia and helped gather information. Then, when the 2016 Russian investigation was happening, they were firing and bribing everybody to shut up. And the ambassador was stopping people from coming to the United States to say, 'Hey, this is what's really going on.' That's what Trump is asking for ... and the Russian hacked servers, because, what's on those servers?"

"This is what the people hired [Trump] to do," Glenn added. "To go in a shut this deep state down — shut this swamp down."
