O'Reilly to discuss 'View' incident with Beck Tonight

By now you've probably seen the appalling show of disrespect by "The View" members Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar toward Bill O'Reilly. The hosts were enraged over O'Reilly's comment that "Muslims killed us on 9/11." If not, go over to the news side and watch the video.

I just received a note from FOX that O'Reilly will join Glenn on Beck's show tonight at 5 pm ET.

That conversation is sure to be engaging. But what I'm most interested in is O'Reilly's reaction to Barbara Walters's comments following the walk-off. After Goldberg and Behar left, Walters immediately chastised the pair:

You have just seen what should not happen. We should be able to have discussion without washing our hands and steaming and walking off stage. I love my colleagues [but] that should not have happened.

Not surprisingly, Walters's approach of respectfully, and calmly, talking through O'Reilly's statement lead to him clarifying his comment, and instead implicating "Muslim extremists." He even apologized if he offended "all Muslims."

Funny what happens when people trade drama for civility.
