Hip-Hop Artist Chris Brown Flips Out After ABC Interview, Allegedly Smashes Window

“I’m so over people bringing this past sh** up!!!"

Hip hop and R&B artist Chris Brown has a temper that has got him in felony trouble before. It seems it's flared up again in Midtown Manhattan.

Brown was on ABC's "Good Morning America" today to promote his new album, F.A.M.E. And while host Robin Roberts did want to talk about the album, she also wanted an update on Brown's infamous beating of his former girlfriend and fellow singer, Rihanna. Apparently, the restraining order in that case has been "relaxed," and Roberts wanted to know if the two had run into each other. That seems fair enough, and in video of the interview Brown calmly deflected the question:

But the calm Brown eventually gave way to the beat-your-girlfriend Brown according to reports. The gold standard of Hollywood gossip, TMZ, reports Brown got so upset about being asked about Rihanna, he went back to his dressing room and lost it:

We're told after the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security.

We're told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway.  ABC security tells TMZ ... the window was shattered with a chair.

We're told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to do for the ABC website.

And sources say ... on his way out of the building, Brown confronted a segment producer, got in his face and stared him down.   People from the show got in between Chris and the producer to diffuse the situation.

TMZ later backed off on the chair claim, but it did capture a glass worker repairing the window:

Interestingly enough, sources tell TMZ that Roberts approved her interview questions about Rihanna beforehand. ABC, in a photo caption on its website, confirms Brown "stormed off the set" and flew "into a rage."

The website INFdaily.com captured Brown leaving the ABC studio shirtless, and coupled it with a shot of the shattered window:

After the show, Brown reportedly tweeted the now-deleted message, “I’m so over people bringing this past sh** up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullsh**!” He is currently on probation after he pleaded guilty to beating Rihanna.
