"It's our president. We like him."

This is an odd move on many levels, mainly because Barack Obama is such a fan of renewable energy and not a fan of more oil drilling. But that doesn't seem to matter to gas station owner Sam Alhanik, who just changed his Columbia, SC business's name -- to Obama.
Yes, that's right. Alhanik has just renamed his gas station after the president.

And apparently it's good for business.
"I see more people come in excited with the name," he told WIS-TV, and admitted that he got the idea from another gas station in Michigan that did the same thing.
A native of Yemen, Alhanik says he's a big fan of the president.
"It's the first president of black people," he said. "It's our president. We like him."
Larry Nelson told WIS-TV he stops at the station more often because of Obama's presence.
"I feel like it does support him by coming here," he said.
