Journalists are “not happy being here anymore.”
According to CNN's Matthew Chance, journalists inside the Rixos Hotel in Tripoli are being held against their will by Gaddafi loyalists who have control of the building. On Tuesday's Anderson Cooper 360º Chance spoke from inside the hotel where he conveyed that the situation is "grave" and that journalists are “not happy being here anymore.”
Chance stated that he had the occasion to speak with Gaddafi forces as they patrolled the hotel.
“We asked to leave the hotel, we’re not happy being here anymore,” Chance told Anderson Cooper. “We feel that they feel that we’re valuable."
According to Chance, Gaddafi's forces claim to be holding the journalists captive for their own protection.
