Joe Biden on 2016 Presidential Run: 'I'll Make Up My Mind Later

"I’m in probably the best shape I’ve been in in my life.”

Before securing his vice presidential seat for 2012, Joe Biden might be looking even further ahead into the future with notions of a presidential bid of his own come 2016. During an interview that aired on CNN's Situation Room Friday, when asked if he had ruled out throwing his hat in the ring in 2016, the vice president replied, “I’ll make up my mind on that later.”

Biden, who would be 74 in 2016, then told Candy Crowley, “I’m in probably the best shape I’ve been in in my life.”

“My one focus now is getting the President re-elected,” Biden said. “Let’s get the president re-elected.”

Crowley agreed that Biden looks great and is "fighting the good fight" for the current president.
