December is going to be spent doing the political work you’ve got to do to get the support of the people in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida.
GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney told Fox News' Neil Cavuto Tuesday afternoon that he will not in fact participate in the upcoming Newsmax ION Television debate hosted by Donald Trump on December 27, which is about a week before the Iowa Caucuses.
Romney told Cavuto that when he informed Trump of his decision to hit the campaign trail rather than participate in the debate, the mogul “understood my perspective and wished me well.”
“We have two debates in December that I’ve agreed to participate in, and the rest of the month is going to be spent campaigning, doing the political work you’ve got to do to get the support of the people in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida,” he told Cavuto.
