Hear the Horrifying 911 Call Made After Model Walked Into Spinning Plane Propeller

"I think it cut her hand off."

Earlier this week we saw the first pictures of 23-year-old model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs, who lost her hand and eye when she walked into a plane propeller last month.

Now, gossip site TMZ has obtained an audio recording of the seven-minute 911 call made after the horrific accident at a Texas airport.

"A girl walked into an airplane prop! I need an ambulance immediately," a female caller is heard telling the 911 operator. "I think it cut her hand off."

As The Blaze previously reported, Scruggs had gone with a friend for a private flight to look at Christmas lights from the sky. Upon exiting the plane, she walked directly into the spinning propeller, with the blades slicing the left side of her face and severing her left hand. According to a federal report, the plane's pilot said he tried to warn Scruggs about the propeller and to guide her to safety. When he thought she was safe he returned to his seat, only to hear someone scream, “Stop, stop!”

The Daily Mail detailed the call:

In the call, placed at 8:48 p.m. on December 3 from a private airport near Dallas, a male caller describes Lauren as conscious and breathing but bleeding badly with her face to the ground.

When asked exactly what part of her body she injured, the male caller says: 'We don’t know, we haven’t turned her over.'

Lauren's cries and moans become louder throughout the call as the operator instructs her relatives on how to stem the blood with clean towels.

He repeatedly tells the caller to keep her calm and to avoid moving her, lest they hurt her neck or back.

A male voice in the background is heard between her screams, saying: 'Lay still baby. Lay still, sugar.'

An emergency crew arrived shortly after 8:54 p.m to help the terrified friends and family.
