Although the Super Bowl isn’t until this weekend, some companies have already "leaked" their top dollar ads online.
Based on these "leaked" ads, here's what viewers can expect to see this year: Sketcher’s replacement of Kim Kardashian with a French Bulldog (i.e. an upgrade), Matthew Broderick reprising his role as Ferris Bueller, Volkswagen revisiting its Star Wars theme, and, of course, those rather unpleasant Go Daddy ads (to this day, we’re still not entirely sure what they’re peddling; something to do with NASCAR drivers and lingerie).
And instead of having to wait until Super Bowl Sunday to catch some of these incredibly expensive ads, Business Insider has gone ahead and rounded them up for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
The Ferris Bueller-themed Honda ad:
[Author’s note: When we first saw the 10-second teaser for this trailer, we thought that it was an ad for a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” sequel. Luckily, we were proven wrong and our faith in humanity was restored.]
Volkswagen's "The Bark Side":
[Author’s note: Given the overwhelming popularity of Volkswagen’s previous Star Wars-themed ad, it only makes sense that the German auto maker would stick with its winning formula.]
Audi's Vampire Party:
[Author’s note: Although we don't care for Audi, we care even less for the moody, sullen-faced, glittery GAP models responsible for destroying what Bela Lugosi and Max Schreck created. We hope that next year's Audi ad will avenge Lon Chaney, Jr. and Warren Zevon.]
Chevy Graduation Gift:
[Author’s note: Say what you want about Chevy and its ties to government bailouts, but this commercial is pretty funny.]
