Sarah Palin shills for the 'lamestream media

I have to admit, when I first read that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin would appear as a guest host on NBC's "Today" show, I rolled my eyes.  Seriously?

This is the same Sarah Palin who has spent the last four years crusading against the "lamestream media"?

This is the same Sarah Palin who continuously admonishes network newsmen like Matt Lauer for their "gotcha"-style journalism?

Seriously?!

In taking her seat on the cushy "Today" show couch this morning, Palin seemed to abandon these principles to ward off every professional politician's worst fear: irrelevancy.  Was this a Palin PR stunt just meant to keep her name in the news?  That hasn't been my impression of Palin in the past, but it's hard to ignore after she went on national network television today and mocked herself and her principles.
