Allen West says he would run as V.P. 'if it's the right thing

On Wednesday, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin told Fox News's Sean Hannity that Florida Republican Rep. Allen West would make a great choice for the back end of the 2012 Republican ticket. When asked about the idea on CNN Friday, West said he is open to the possibility.

"(My family) has always stepped up to the plate to serve our country, and if it's the right thing, then I will do so. But I really doubt that would ever happen," West said on CNN's "Newsroom."
