See What People Are Calling 'The Shot of the Tournament' From the 2012 Masters

(The Blaze/AP) --Bubba Watson has achieved his first major championship victory, defeating Louis Oosthuizen in a "sudden death" playoff in the US Masters Tournament.

Trapped among the trees 155 yards from the hole and not able to see the green, the left-hander hit a huge hook Sunday and landed the ball safely on the 10th green.

He two-putted for par and because Oosthuizen couldn't get up and down from the front of the green, Watson had captured his first major.

Watson birdied Nos. 13 through 16 to rally from as many as four shots off the lead. Oosthuizen grabbed that lead on No. 2 when he holed out from the fairway for a rare double-eagle 2.

But Watson hit the shot of the day - the approach on No. 10 that helped him win the first Masters playoff since 2009.

Yesterday, Watson tweeted that the day would be good regardless of the outcome.  He wrote: "Thanks everyone for the support! 3 reasons tomorrow will be#awesome, 1. Jesus has risen 2. See my new baby boy & my wife 3. Masters Sunday"

Watson wasn't the only to perform well under pressure.  Bo Van Pelt hit what some are calling "the shot of the tournament," acing the 16th en route to a final-round record 64.
