The Beast': This Rugby Player Is Terrifyingly Powerful

Mtawarira, who represents South Africa in the international rugby circuit, is renowned for his near-terrifying power and strength.

Tendai Mtawarira has earned every bit of his fearful nickname: They call him “The Beast.”

Born in Zimbabwe, Mtawarira represents South Africa in the international rugby circuit and is renowned for his near-terrifying strength.

And to prove that he truly is “The Beast,” we bring you this video from a Super Rugby league match between the Sharks (Mtawarira's team) and the Stormers:

Just in case you aren’t convinced that “The Beast” really is, well, a beast, consider this: Anton Bresler, the teammate he picks up and carries behind his head, weighs 247 pounds.

Mtawarira weighs 256 pounds.

“It's not even that he holds Bresler up. That alone, is not the most impressive part. It's that with momentum for each guy going in different directions,”  writes The Post Game. “Mtawarira is able to control himself while holding up his massive teammate, and then get mauled by crowd.”

Mtawarira’s team ended the night with a 25-20 victory (it probably helped that they had a guy named “The Beast” on their team).
