What's that? A Ron Paul 2012 sign on the floor of the Republican National Convention that is being held to nominate Mitt Romney as the party's presidential candidate?
Yes, indeed. Shortly after the convention officially convened (and was immediately declared in recess due to the storm-related postponement of activities), Ron Paul supporters took to the convention floor to support their preferred candidate.
There were cheers and shouts of support for Ron Paul that drew a small crowd and attracted the attention of some of the television crews milling about to interview the delegates.
Overheard at the scene, one delegate observed: "Mitt Romney never creates this kind of excitement."
