N. Korea rejects 3 million packages of Ramen noodle aid

North Korea has suffered severe flooding that has killed nearly 200 people since June, according to the AP. The impoverished country undoubtedly needs help but when South Korea offered aid, the North passed on it.

What South Korea planned on sending: thousands of pounds of four, medical supplies and also 3 million packages of Ramen noodles.

The North's Red Cross Society ... characterized it as a "negligible quantity of goods." South Korea "seriously insulted us," an unidentified spokesman for the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society said in remarks carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency on Thursday.
