SNL's Powerful Tribute to Connecticut Shooting Victims: Children's Choir Sings 'Silent Night
December 16, 2012
NBC
"Saturday Night Live" departed from its usual comedic opening sketch to pay tribute to the victims of the Connecticut elementary school massacre with a children's choir performing "Silent Night."
The tribute was a rare moment for the comedy sketch show, after which the members of the New York City Children's Chorus shouted out the traditional, "Live from New York, it's Saturday night!" The performance was the show's only reference to the shootings.
